The Center for Advanced Vein Treatment & Women's Healthcare was created by Dr. David C. McCarus to address the often neglected, yet growing concerns, of Venous disease in Women and Men.

Dr. McCarus has been practicing in Towson, Maryland since 1983. He received his Medical Degree from West Virginia University School of  Medicine. He secured his post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

Dr. McCarus has been on the cutting edge of Gynecological technology and involved with teaching and preceptorship training in Operative Laparoscopic surgery. His interest in Post-menopausal health and the prevention and treatment of Osteoporosis has prompted him to lecture nationwide to promote education and proactive screening and treatment of Osteoporosis.

Dr. McCarus also understands the need for the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of Venous disease. He is Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American College of Phlebology.  Dr. McCarus expanded his knowledge with the pursuit of excellence in the evaluation and treatment of Venous disease. He attended seminars and lectures under Dr. Robert Min, the innovator of the new technique of treating symptomatic veins utilizing the EVLT procedure.

Dr. McCarus is one of the few gynecologists that is proficient in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins utilizing the EVLT procedure. Dr. McCarus treats patients with symptomatic varicose veins utilizing this new EndoLuminal approach at the Center for Advanced Vein Treatment & Women's Healthcare.

Patients who have been under his care for over three decades have found comfort in being treated by a physician with whom they have developed a communicative and trusting relationship.
